After a great holiday camping in the US state parks, I was reminiscing about the good times I had, but also the lack of communications I had with the outside world - it was great! But it did make me think how local business managed to survive in these areas?
In 2008 I was going to report on the Royal International Air Tattoo, acknowledged as the world's largest military airshow. But the weather had other ideas... and the public event had to be cancelled.
But I did spend a day supporting set up and looking at how wireless broadband was helping to improve communications. Communications that proved vital on the military day on Friday and the Queen's fly over.
